  • Byron Ye
    Managing Partner
    Byron is the Managing Partner of OPM and is an accomplished investment professional with over 25 years of experience and a strong track record in private equity and venture capital.
    His work centers on identifying high potential companies, guiding them through critical growth phases, and generating long-term value for investors. Byron has broad international experience in the largest international financial markets, previously serving as Investment Director of Fosun Group in Shanghai and as a VP at Morgan Stanley in New York. Byron brings a disciplined, analytical approach to investing, shaped by years of experience evaluating high-growth opportunities and managing complex deal structures. Over the years, Byron directed investments in WeBull, Sofi, and WaterDrop Insurance and has built a strong reputation and trusted relationships with founders, funds, and investors.
    Byron holds an MBA in Finance from Yale University and a BE in Computer Science and Information Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
  • Eric Zhou
    General Partner
    Eric Zhou is a General Partner of the firm, where he oversees the firm's investments and operations. He concentrates on identifying investment opportunities across U.S. private markets including venture and private equity fund investments, technology direct and co-investments, secondaries, and special opportunities. Eric is passionate about serving exceptional founders across stages and has led the firm's investments in companies including Anthropic, Databricks, Epic Games, Rescale, Allocate, Aumni (acquired by JP Morgan), and others.
    Before joining Olive, Eric worked for SVB for over six years where he helped lead the bank's Asia strategies and worked for SVB Capital. He brings more than a decade of investment and operations experience to Olive.
    Eric holds a BA in Economics and Business Strategy and International Relations from the University of Rochester.

    Investment Director
    Joe Ma is an Investment Director at Olive Partners, where he leads deal sourcing, investment analysis, fund structuring, due diligence, capital deployment, and portfolio management. He plays a central role in building and maintaining strong relationships with founders and co-investors. Joe has been actively involved in investments across enterprise software, cybersecurity, fintech, and AI, including Writer, Freshpaint, Netskope, Wiz, Enable, Kodiak Robotics, Feedzai, Varo, and Navitas.
    His expertise spans financial modeling, market research, and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies as they scale and innovate.
    Joe holds an MS in Finance from the University of Southern California and a BA in International Economics from the University of British Columbia.

    Chief Financial Officer
    Flora Xiong is the Chief Financial Officer of Olive Partners, where she leads the firm's financial strategy, fund operations, investor reporting, tax structuring, fund accounting, and overall firm-level management. She plays a key role in strengthening the firm's operational infrastructure, enhancing financial transparency and supporting long-term strategic growth.
    Flora is a financial executive with over a decade of experience in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and alternative investment platforms. Prior to joining Olive Partners, Flora oversaw the financial and investment operations of the credit strategy at Vector Capital. She also has prior industry experience at TIAA and Ironwood Capital.
    Flora is a licensed CPA and holds an MS from Columbia University and a BA from UC Berkeley.
  • Caroline (Liangrong) Cao, Esq
    General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer
    Caroline Cao is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Olive Partners Management, where she oversees the firm’s legal and compliance functions and advises on regulatory, transactional, and risk management matters. She plays a key role in guiding the firm through evolving financial regulatory landscapes while supporting growth initiatives and operational efficiency.
    Caroline brings nearly two decades of experience in corporate law, capital markets, and investment management, with a focus on SEC regulatory compliance and cross-border matters. Prior to joining OPM, she practiced at an Am Law 100 firm and held senior legal leadership roles in private and public companies.
    Caroline is admitted in New York and California and holds an LL.M. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, an LL.B. from the China University of Political Science and Law, and a certification in EU Competition Law from the University of Oxford.
  • Vishal Tripathi
    Investment Director
    Vishal focuses on identifying investment opportunities within U.S. private markets and leading the diligence for VC/PE investments. He brings his network of strong relationships with investors and founders across the ecosystem and also leads investments in special projects within Olive Partners.
    Vishal brings extensive capital allocation experience across asset classes. He was an investor with Next Legacy for 2.5 years where he deployed capital in established and emerging VC managers. He also worked as a portfolio manager at Plexo Capital, an institutional investor spun out of Google Ventures (GV), allocating capital across VC funds and companies. Before entering the venture capital world, Vishal was a quantitative researcher/trader with the commodities desk at J.P Morgan for 3+ years.
    Vishal holds a MS in financial engineering from UC Berkeley and a BE in chemical engineering from BITS Pilani, and has cleared CFA level 1.
  • Tony Zhao
    Investment Director
    Tony Zhao is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments. He assists in developing and executing investment strategies, maintaining relationships with external managers, and contributes to market analysis and strategy within the firm.
    Prior to joining Olive, Tony spent 3 years in the blockchain industry as an investor and an operator at Magic Eden and Kasagi Labo. Before that, Tony was on the Business Development and Investment team at Tencent, where he focused on content, platforms, and technology. Tony began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Broadhaven Capital Partners.
    Tony holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.

    Lexi focuses on software investments spanning multiple stages. Before her role at OPM, she worked as an analyst at Credit Suisse Investment Banking.
    Lexi holds a B.A. from Skidmore College and an M.S. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
